ZTE has confirmed that it plans to bring Nubia Z7 Max smartphone to the Indian market. The phone was originally unveiled in China last month. The company has not given any specific dates but it noted to a consumers on its official Facebook page the Nubia Z7 Max will be arriving in the country soon.
The company confirmation is in line with a previous report from PTI, which stated that ZTE plans to launch Z7 Max in September or October. Considering that more than half of August is already gone, we can only expect the Z7 Max release at the latest next month. PTI report had also noted that the smartphone could get a price-tag around INR 26,000.
To remind you, Nubia Z7 Max features a 5.5-inch display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 13MP rear camera, Android 4.4 and dual-SIM support. The phone also packs 3100 mAh battery, 32GB of storage, microSD card slot, 5MP front camera, LTE support, and the usual set of connectivity options.
The smartphone is a part of the company’s Nubia Z7 smartphones, which also include Nubia Z7 and Z7 mini.

The information has been recently confirmed by ZTE viaGizChina. According to a ZTE official, the Nubia Z7 Max model will be coming soon in India. Sadly, no details on the exact release date of the smartphone have been shared, though we expect more info to emerge in the next couple of days.

The good news is that ZTE Nubia Z7 Max checks all the requirements for the Indian smartphone market, so those looking for a high-end device that would not require them to rob a bank may want to take this smartphone into consideration.

Moving on to specs, the ZTE Nubia Z7 Max is part of a larger series of phones that also contain the ZTE Nubia Z7 and ZTE Nubia Z7 Mini. All three ZTE smartphones are exclusively available in China, so India might be the first country to get one of these handsets.

The smartphone has been confirmed to ship with Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system out of the box, along with Nubia UI 2.0 on top. It will also offer dual-SIM capability with dual standby support.

The phone’s main selling points are the exceptional 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD(1080p) resolution, as well as the powerful 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor.

Moreover, the top tier smartphone packs 2GB of RAM inside, which goes along with no less than 32GB ofstorage. If that’s not enough for you, ZTE also included a microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to64GB), so you further expand internal memory.

Another strong point of the ZTE Nubia Z7 Max is the impressive 13-megapixel main camera on the back, which features autofocus, LED flash and 4K video recording. There’s also a no-less-impressive 5-megapixel camera in the front, which is perfect for selfies.

Even though there is no mention of pricing options, the Nubia Z7 Max might go on sale in India for around Rs 25,000 ($410 / €310) outright.

Lenovo's mobile phone shipments up 39% Q1

BEIJING: Lenovo Group, the world's biggest maker of personal computers, said net income jumped 23% in the first fiscal quarter, beating estimates, as it consolidated its position in the PC market while boosting smartphone shipments.

Net income rose to $214 million in the three months through June from $174 million in the same period a year earlier. That was ahead of estimates of $202 million, according to a Thomson Reuters SmartEstimate poll of analysts.

The ambitious Beijing-based hardware company has agreed to acquisitions worth over $5 billion this year alone, buying server and handset businesses in what it calls its "PC Plus" strategy to diversify away from the shrinking PC market. Over the past year it has displaced South Korean giant Samsung Electronics to become the No. 1 smartphone seller in China, according to recent estimates by IDC.
